Six screen video installation, Public Art Commission, Washington 1998

The work used stills and sound to address aspects of the identity of Washington including work, leisure and housing. The new town was created to from 15 new districts from the existing pit villages. Old and new industries were represented by the sculptural installation of waste materials from Cape Insulation and LG Electronics. A continuing legacy of the former use of asbestos by Cape Insulation was the high rate of former insulation workers suffering from Mesothelioma.
